Numerical models of helical electron beams for cyclotron reso- nance-based masers

В гиротронах, наиболее мощных источниках электромагнитного излучения в широком диапазоне длин волн от миллиметрового до субмиллиметрового, в качестве активной среды (источника энергии излучения) используются трубчатые пучки электронов, движущихся по винтовым траекториям в магнитном поле (так называемые винтовые электронные пучки ВЭП). Моделирование и оптимизацию параметров ВЭП целесообразно проводить на основе иерархии последовательно усложняющихся численных моделей, позволяющих проводить за приемлемое время анализ сначала в рамках статической модели для минимизации разброса скоростей частиц, а затем и динамической модели для оценки устойчивости ВЭП.
